چکیده
T he instant stent-accentuated (iSA) 3-dimensional optical coherence tomography (3DOCT) can display the stent-accentuated (and the guidewire [GW]-accentuated) 3D image from the original OCT images by the freeware ImageJ version 1.47v (National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, Maryland) with macro programs of my own making, in about 30 s in the catheter laboratory (1). A platinum-chromium everolimus-eluting stent (PtCrEES) was deployed in the main branch (MB).

Instant stent-accentuated three-dimensional optical coherence tomography of a true bifurcation lesion treated with culotte stenting
A 65-year-old woman was performed percutaneous coronary intervention for a bifurcation lesion of the left anterior descending artery (LAD) and the first diagonal branch (Dg). After pre-dilatation, the proximal LAD-Dg was stented with the platinum-chromium elevolimus-eluting stent (PtCrEES). After rewiring to LAD, the instant stent-accentuated 3-dimensional optical coherence tomography (iSA3D-OC...
متن کاملInstant Stent-Accentuated Three-Dimensional Optical Coherence Tomography Guided Selection of Proper Distal Cell for Side Branch Dilatation in Bifurcation Stenting
In the bifurcation stenting, the distal rewiring for the side branch postdilatation confirmed by two-dimensional modalities may not lead to favorable results in some cases. If there are two distal cells divided by the link bridging from the carina, the rewiring through the larger distal cell may be recommended for the side branch postdilatation. Detailed confirmation of the rewired cell by the ...
متن کاملRandomized Comparison of the Crush Versus the Culotte Stenting for Coronary Artery Bifurcation Lesions
BACKGROUND The crush and the culotte stenting were both reported to be effective for complex bifurcation lesion treatment. However, their comparative performance remains elusive. METHODS A total of 300 patients with coronary bifurcation lesions were randomly assigned to crush (n = 150) and culotte (n = 150) treatment. The primary endpoint was the occurrence of major adverse cardiac events (MA...
متن کاملAbsorb Bioresorbable Vascular Scaffold in Complex Coronary Bifurcation Interventions: Insights From an In Vivo Multimodality Imaging Study.
BACKGROUND Although bioresorbable scaffolds offer potential advantages compared with metallic drug-eluting stents in the treatment of complex coronary bifurcation lesions, there are concerns that the polymeric scaffold integrity may be compromised. This in vivo study sought to provide insights about the feasibility of performing complex bifurcation stenting with Absorb bioresorbable vascular sc...
متن کاملThree-dimensional optical coherence tomography reconstruction of bifurcation stenting using the Szabo anchor-wire technique
Ostial lesions present unique challenges for percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). These lesions are often more calcified, fibrotic, rigid, and more prone to elastic recoil. Intervention on these lesions is associated with higher procedural complications and higher rates of restenosis. Ostial lesions require precise stent placement in the ostium with the absence of side branch compromise. A...
